Terms & Conditions
Miel de Lagos (MDL) will act in the favourable interest of our travellers and commits to uphold integrity and maintain a high level of professionalism throughout your interaction and experience with us.
1. Group Packages Include
What is included may vary depending on the particular trip in question, hence refer to details specified in our official website and on our marketing fliers.
Accommodation
Accommodation on our group trips are shared by default. If you would like to opt for private accommodation, this is possible but will require an extra cost.
Not Included
The cost of flights are not included in the cost of our travel experiences.
Personal expenses are not included.
2. Passports and Visas
Please note that you are responsible for obtaining and maintaining a valid passport and all appropriate visas, permits, certificates, and/or other required documentation (“Documentation”) for the countries, jurisdictions, parks, areas, etc. you will visit before and during the getaway. Miel de Lagos (MDL) is not responsible if you are denied entry or exit to/from any country or location due to a lack of valid documentation
Please ensure that your international passport has at least six months validity prior to its expiration date. Also re-confirm the validity of your travel visa, as Miel de Lagos (MDL) shall not be liable for any default.
3. Payment and Deposit
In order to make the cost of travel more accessible, payments can be made either in full or in instalments, the first payment should include a minimum of the indicated security deposit for the trip.
Payment of the security deposit confirms your trip and guarantees your spot with the condition that full payment is made at least 30 days prior to the trip start date.
As stated above, full payment is due and must be received at the latest 30 days before the start
of the trip. If Miel de Lagos (MDL) does not receive your total payment on or before the payment due date, Miel de Lagos (MDL) reserves the right to cancel your reservation.
4. General cancellation policy
All cancellations by you must be in writing and emailed to Miel de Lagos (MDL) at the contact email address specified on the Website (contact@mieldelagos.com).
If you cancel your travel arrangements up to 60 days before the trip departure, you will receive a full refund including the security deposit.
If you cancel your travel arrangements up to 30 days before the trip departure, you will lose only the security deposit as it covers some of the costs incurred on your behalf for the trip planning.
If you cancel your travel arrangements less than 30 days before the trip start date: there will be no refund. As MDL would have already incurred substantial costs on your behalf to plan the experience
5. Changes of Itinerary or Trip
It's our utmost goal to ensure all activities promised are delivered. However, it might be necessary for us to make changes in the best interest of our travelers. For example, due to operational or weather issues. Should this occur, travellers will be informed and provided with alternate solutions.
If a trip has to be postponed due to unforeseen situations, we will reschedule and book you into the new dates. If those new dates don’t work, you have the option for a full credit towards a future trip with Miel de Lagos (MDL).
For any trip canceled by Miel de Lagos (MDL), we will issue you a full credit towards a future trip or a refund. Any expenses incurred while preparing for the trip will not be borne by Miel de Lagos (MDL).
6. Travel Insurance
Miel de Lagos (MDL) strongly recommends that travel insurance be purchased for the duration of the traveller's journey. Insurance can only be purchased prior to departure.
The risk of a failure to obtain adequate insurance cover shall be solely on the traveler. Miel de Lagos (MDL) shall not be liable for any loss, harm, damage, and costs of whatsoever nature incurred in connection with the traveller's travel. Accordingly, all queries must be addressed to the traveler and/or the traveler's principal insurer, as Miel de Lagos (MDL) shall in no way be held responsible for any and/or all information advanced by its representatives in this regard.
7. Photos, videos and media releases
By participating in our tours or group trips you grant Miel de Lagos (MDL) and its agents and representatives all rights to use, reproduce, display, exhibit, publish, distribute, and/or produce derivative works based on your image, likeness, and voice as recorded by any camera and/or on any video, audio, and/or other media (collectively, “Likeness”) worldwide, in perpetuity, without compensation, payment, or other additional consideration of any kind, for any lawful purpose, including without limitation for marketing and trade purposes online or offline. You understand that your Likeness may be used in various publications, promotional or marketing materials, and/or social media, unrestricted by time or geographic area and consent to such uses. You hereby waive the right to inspect or approve any and all materials in which your Likeness may appear. You further waive any right to royalties or other compensation arising from or related to the use of your Likeness. Should you not want your Likeness to be used for any reasons, please indicate by sending us an email.
8. Agreement
By booking any Miel de Lagos trip, you hereby agree to the aforementioned terms and conditions. These terms and conditions constitute the entire agreement between you and Miel de Lagos (MDL), and supersedes any prior agreement, regarding the subject matter herein. You acknowledge and represent that no oral representations, statements, or inducements, apart from those set forth herein, have been made to you by any Miel de Lagos representative.
Any amendment or variation of this Agreement shall be in writing and emailed by or on behalf of both Parties.
